News Compressed :  On 11th august 2016 a rumor spread everywhere about twitter is going to shutdown in 2017. Twitter spokesperson claims this as a hoax, but social media start whispering it with #SaveTwitter around 100,000 tweets received mentioned with #SaveTwitter. 
Social media becomes a great medium for someone to spread any hoax easily and it will also become viral. Many celebrities, wrestler and this time a social network itself becomes a victim of this hoax. Yes, world famous social network Twitter becomes it's victim now

Twitter  is an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets. (Wiki) 

It's started on thursday when suddenly a rumour spread by someone about twitter will shutdown in 2017 and this spreaded so fast everywhere that around 100,000 tweets were found from thursday afternoon with #SaveTwitter.

Twitter reaction about this hoax " There is absolutely no truth to the claims whatsoever," said this by comment on that #SaveTwiter tweets. It's still not revealed that who spread this rumour but it's started from twitter.



Last month, Twitter permanently suspended a number of user accounts for harassment, including that of Breitbart tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos, vowing to redouble efforts to thwart abusive behaviour and block repeat offenders from the social media site source BBC
